Gun Replica

• This comprises of a replica of the L70, as well as, ZU 23 -2 gun.
• The replica is so designed as to give a feel of 'real gun' to the trainees.
• All functions like traverse, elevation, lay, fire etc. have been accurately replicated.
• The replica permits gun-drill and fire-drill as per the actuals.
• The feel of fire to the crew is akin to firing the original gun at the firing range.
• Realistic Recoil effect

Dome Structure

• The Dome provides a high reflectivity screen with a traverse spread 210 degrees and an elevation pan from -5 to +75 degrees. Seamless 3D terrain views and realistic battle scenarios are presented on the Dome screen using multiple high-resolution projectors.

Sound Simulation System

• A 7.1 Digital Audio system generates high fidelity sound effects relating to multiple battlefield scenarios. Audio and video outputs are perfectly matched to enhance reality.

Instructor Station

• Configured on three high-end workstations to facilitate planning, conduct and monitoring of training sessions and exercising control on IADCS.
• The Instructor Station enables many options for the conduct of training, such as the following:-
  • User-defined trainee selection.
  • Multiple options to select terrains and environmental conditions.
  • Deployment options on various types of VAs/
  • Play of air threat by multiple quantum, speeds, altitudes and profiles.
  • Enabling lay and fire drill at LPC by the crew.
  • CRS as a measure of trainee skill.
  • After Action Review for analysis and course correction.

OTHER VARIATIONS OF IADCS

• Outdoor Version
  • Gun replicas are deployed outdoors in the training area.
  • Firing is carried out on regular Pilotless Target Aircraft (PTAs).
  • All other facilities remain the same.
  • Zero ammunition expenditure. Minimal PTA expenditure.
• Radar Version
  • Besides gun replicas, the IADCS also features radar replicas.
  • These could be fire control radars like Flycatcher or USFM.
  • Mode of firing is Remote Power Control, conducted outdoors.
  • Zero ammunition expenditure. Minimal PTA expenditure.
