Job Description
  • Candidate will be responsible for the development and implementation of Procurement strategy for all business lines in the company
  • Handling sourcing through identification of cost-effective vendors/suppliers for procurement with an aim of reducing cost while improving quality & reliability
  • Review or update supply chain practices in accordance with new or changing environmental policies, standards, regulations, or laws.
  • Understanding drawing, Pricing, Negotiation and Team Management

Leading and coordinating the team

  • Leading a team of 6-8 Executives in purchase & SQA
  • Strong Co-ordination with R&D, engineering, marketing, production, and stores
  • Monitor forecasts and quotas to identify changes or to determine their effect on supply chain activities

Supplier Management

  • Maintain and build supplier network
  • Develop New vendors, as per organization needs
  • Appraise vendor manufacturing ability through on-site visits and measurements
  • Monitor supplier performance to assess the ability to meet quality and delivery requirements
  • Handle and monitor claims to vendors for defectives, shortage, missing materials

Cost optimization

  • Develop material costs forecasts or standard cost lists
  • Budgeting & cost comparison
  • Proficient in cost analysis
  • Verification of offers received from various suppliers and vendors and confirm the reliability
  • Negotiate with vendors/channel partners to bring procurement within the targeted budget
