We at Zen technologies Limited received with great enthusiasm and jubilation the news <\/span>broken by the <\/span>Govt<\/span> of India today telling the world <\/span>that <\/span>the <\/span><\/strong><\/span>nation <\/span>has achieved a great milestone by reaching 50% of its installed electricity capacity from Green (<\/span>non-fossil fuel) sources a full five years in advance<\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

The<\/span> reason for the added joy<\/span> for us <\/span>lies in the realization that <\/span><\/span>Zen is also contributing to the cause of Green Revolution<\/span><\/span><\/strong> in its own way<\/span> by spearheading the campaign on the awareness of <\/span>\u2018Green <\/span>Training<\/span>\u2019.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span>

Very simply, <\/span><\/span>Green Training is the kind of training that does not pollute the atmosphere.<\/span><\/span><\/strong> Training of<\/span> our armed forces in the conventional way leads to huge environmental pollution. This is so because it involves plying of <\/span>a large number of<\/span> tanks, Infantry combat vehicles (ICVs), huge trucks towing artillery and air <\/span>defence<\/span> guns along with hundreds and thousands of troops executing multiple training maneuvers in the Tactical Battle Area or TBA. It also includes <\/span><\/span>firing an entire continuum of weapons at the Field Firing Ranges<\/span> (FFRs)<\/span>.<\/span><\/span><\/strong> These <\/span>comprise<\/span> of small <\/span>arms to<\/span> machine <\/span>guns to<\/span> tanks guns<\/span> and an entire spectrum of missiles.<\/span> All these activities emit huge <\/span>amount<\/span> of toxic gases that pollute the <\/span>atmosphere<\/span> no end.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

In contrast, the <\/span>training done on simulators is not only realistic, cost effective and immersive, but also highly environmental friendly<\/span><\/b>. This is so because simulator-based training not only dwarfs the need for firing\u00a0 huge quantities of live ammunition\u00a0 –\u00a0 the biggest environmental polluter, it also cuts down on the need to ply hundreds of tanks, ICVs or other equipment in the training area. All this ends up in significant saving of Green House Gas (GHG) emissions.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Zen technologies as a market leader in the field of Combat Training and counter drone solutions is <\/span>trying to spread the awareness on the criticality and inevitability of adopting green training practices<\/span><\/b>\u00a0 for the future of our planet.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

To progress our mission on Green Training awareness, Zen has undertaken two Joint studies back-to-back with TERI –<\/span> a nationally accredited, not-for-profit policy research organization working in the field of energy, environment and sustainable development.<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

The results of the<\/span> Studies have been were astounding.<\/span><\/b> These have proved beyond doubt the <\/span>tremendous potential of the simulators in saving the environment<\/span><\/b> by achieving tons of savings in the GHG emissions worth Crores of Rs. Here is a grab of the some of the key findings of the Study :-<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

1. A light <\/span>4 wheeler<\/span> <\/span>Vehicle Simulator<\/span><\/span><\/strong> will save <\/span><\/span>103 Tons of CO2<\/span><\/span><\/strong> over <\/span>a <\/span>15 year<\/span> period yielding a saving of <\/span><\/span>INR 56 Lakhs<\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>

2. A <\/span>Tank <\/span>Driving Training <\/span><\/span>Simulator<\/span><\/span><\/strong> at a Regimental level will save <\/span><\/span>1919 Tons of CO2<\/span><\/span><\/strong> over a <\/span>30 year<\/span> period<\/span>,<\/span> amounting to <\/span><\/span>INR 136 Cr<\/strong><\/span><\/span> or 4.54 Cr per annum<\/span>.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

3. A <\/span>Field\u00a0 <\/span><\/span>Crew<\/span> Gunnery Training <\/span>Simulator<\/span><\/span><\/strong>\u00a0 at<\/span> a Regimental level will save <\/span><\/span>3676 Tons <\/span><\/span><\/strong>of CO2 over a <\/span>30 year<\/span> period<\/span>,<\/span> amounting to <\/span><\/span>INR 381 <\/span><\/span><\/strong>Cr<\/strong> or 12.7 Cr per annum.<\/span><\/span><\/p>

4. Rs<\/span> <\/span>15 <\/span>Crore<\/span> investment<\/span><\/span><\/strong> in simulators over 30 years saves <\/span>Rs<\/span> <\/span>380 Cores.<\/span><\/span><\/strong> That is a whopping <\/span><\/span>2,500% savings<\/span>.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Study findings show that <\/span><\/span>even a <\/span>miniscule<\/span> 15% adoption of simulators by the armed Forces will end up saving astronomical costs<\/span><\/span><\/strong> besides saving the environment hugely.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Our efforts have been supported by <\/span>NITI Aayog<\/span><\/b> who are progressing the cause of Green and sustainable technologies at the national level.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

The <\/span>Ministry of Defence is also supporting the cause of Green Training very proactively.<\/span><\/b> Way back in Sep 2021, it has issued a Framework Policy on Induction of simulators in the Armed Forces. This policy is currently under implementation.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>
